All Building Benchmark BC participants will receive a personalized energy performance scorecard outlining the building’s energy use, greenhouse gas emissions, and potential areas for improvement. This will provide you with insights into your building performance relative to your peers and highlight opportunities for energy cost savings.



If you own or manage a Multi-Unit Residential Building, you can see where to invest in small energy-use upgrades to lower your operating costs and strata fees or build a business case for large equipment replacement. You can even earn recognition that can be used by owners and real estate agents when selling or renting a condo in your building. Commercial building owners can gain competitive insights on how your building(s) perform against similar property types across the province, display leadership in sustainability and energy management, and prepare for upcoming building performance regulations.


Hands-on assistance from the BBBC Help Desk (Website Link) is available to guide you through each step — from setting up your property(ies) in ENERGY STAR Portfolio Manager, to syncing your property data with utility providers, and providing guidance on correcting any data errors flagged in our system.
