Key information needed about your building

To get started with adding your building to ENERGY STAR Portfolio Manager, you will need the following information about your building: 

• Property name and address

• Building Benchmark BC ID, will be provided to you by BBBC (Help Desk Article)

• 12 consecutive months of whole-building energy data, including electricity, natural gas, propane, etc.

• Number and type of energy meters

• Total Gross Floor Area (square meters) of each building

• Property use(s)

• Year Built

• Occupancy (exact or estimate %)

• Number of Buildings (if applicable)

Additional data may be needed based on the selected building type. This information needs to be collected in ENERGY STAR Portfolio Manager for each of your properties.
