How do I share my building’s data?

Gather key information for your property and enter the building’s attributes into ENERGY STAR Portfolio Manager (ESPM), a tool that helps you track and assess energy (and water) use across your portfolio of buildings. Setting up ENERGY STAR Portfolio Manager should only take ~20 minutes if you have all the information needed (Key information needed about your building - Help Desk Article).

You have the option to manually enter in 12 months (or up to 3 years) of energy usage data, or you can sync your energy meters with your utility providers for ongoing updates to data. Once 12 months of data have been entered for your building, share your property with Building Benchmark BC’s ESPM account, and we will review the data provided. If any gaps in the data are identified, we will work with you to correct them.
