6. Share your properties with the Building Benchmark BC ESPM account

STEP 1 - To share your properties, the first step is to connect with Building Benchmark BC as a contact. Click on the ‘Contacts link’ at the top right hand corner of the page, which takes you to your My Contacts list. Then, click ‘Add New Contacts/Connections’.

STEP 2 - In the “Organization” field enter “Building Benchmark BC” and click “Search”

In the Search Results, click “Connect” next to the Building Benchmark BC contact.

Note: You are not yet connected to Building Benchmark BC until your request is accepted. You will receive a notification in Portfolio Manager when Building Benchmark BC accepts your request. This process takes 1 to 2 business days.

STEP 3 - Once you are connected to Building Benchmark BC, navigate to the “Sharing” tab and click on “Share (or Edit Access to) a Property”

Click on “Select Properties”

Select the properties you want to share by using the checkbox and then click “Apply Selection”

In the “Select People (Accounts)” section, select the contact (Building Benchmark BC)

In the “Choose Permissions” section, select “Bulk Sharing”, select the option “Full Access” and then “Share Property(ies)”

STEP 4 - Your property share request(s) need to be accepted by Building Benchmark BC, this can take 1 to 2 business days. 

You can verify that your property share is complete by clicking on Notifications (upper right menu) and then checking the Notices tab.
