Adding Unique Identifiers (IDs) for Multiple Properties, via batch upload
If you have many properties, it may be easier to add Unique IDs via a batch upload in a spreadsheet template.
STEP 1 - Log into your ENERGY STAR Portfolio Manager account (https://portfoliomanager.energystar.gov/pm/login)
STEP 2 - Scroll down to the section Manage Portfolio, click on “Upload and/or update multiple properties”
STEP 3 - On the right, under Edit and Manage Information, click “Create an Upload Template”
STEP 4 - Under Step 1, select “Edit Basic Property Information for Existing Properties (such as name and address)”. Under Step 2, select “All Properties” (or you can select “Multiple Properties” and check off the appropriate ones). Click “Create and download template”.
STEP 5 - A spreadsheet template will download to your computer. Within this template, find and click the “Property IDs” tab. 9. In Column M, there should be a drop-down menu on each cell. Select “British Columbia – Building Benchmark BC ID”; paste the list of property IDs provided to you into the next Column N. (*)
Once the spreadsheet is completed, save it to your computer.
(*) May be a slightly different column depending on version of excel and data you have synced to ESPM. In this case, just select whichever column has “Building Benchmark BC ID” in it
STEP 6 - In ESPM, return to the page “Upload and/or Update Multiple Properties”. Under Upload Spreadsheets, select “Edit Basic Property Information for Existing Properties”. Choose your saved file and click “Upload”.
